Our Transition Philosophy

A well-planned ownership transition ensures minimal disruption to your clients and employees, while efficiently transferring your goodwill to the new owner or new partner.

A business transition is a private transaction wherein the seller and buyer (typically an employee or known person) desire an independent 3rd party to determine the business value and the the transition timing based on the underlying business economics. The Transition Science team members hold the Accredited Senior Appraiser in Business Valuation designation which requires adherence to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice ('USPAP'). As such, Transition Science cannot and will not be an advocate for either party. This independence and objectivity spans across all valuation, finance, and business economics services provided by Transition Science.

Transition Science does not provide brokerage services, which includes marketing a business for sale, finding a buyer, negotiating a transaction, and writing closing documents. Such services, if needed, are offered through Scott Delaune, PC, a licensed agent of Casper Business Sales.

Our services are offered with the precision and professionalism that comes from 20 years in business valuation and transaction advisory firms (primarily at the "Big 4" global firm and national firm level) and another 5 years performing strategic acquisitions as the Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy for a global company. We've worked with companies ranging from the Fortune 500 to single doctor dental practices.
