HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR A FULLY-SUPPORTED BUSINESS VALUATION PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE UNIFORM STANDARDS OF PROFESSIONAL APPRAISAL PRACTICE (“USPAP”)?

Well, it depends. Some business valuations require a very basic analysis and some can be quite complicated. USPAP requires that every business valuation is prepared using all applicable approaches and methods, meaning that appraisers who are bound by USPAP cannot “cut corners” or provide “estimates” based on a limited or partial analysis. USPAP compliant valuations require that every indicator of value is assessed and assimilated into the ultimate conclusion of value. The cost of a business valuation is therefore dependent on the number of value indicators there are that must be assessed for each valuation.
